The 2014 Gold Sovereign - India

Bullion Gold Sovereign, minted at the MMTC-PAMP mint in India under licence from the Royal Mint. The Gold Sovereigns are minted with the quality control of the Royal Mint and are legal tender in the UK.

Minted to BU standard. There is an 'I' mint mark just above the date. SCBC: SC7A.

Benedetto Pistrucci's famous portrayal of St. George slaying the dragon is depicted on the reverse of the coin.

The edge is milled.

Queen Elizabeth II's fourth portrait can be seen on the obverse, designed by Ian Rank-Broadley.

These are bullion gold coins but are usually accompanied by with a presentation box or on a card and are popular with collectors.
