The 1889 Gold Sovereign - London MintJubilee Head Gold Sovereign, St George reverse. The D:G: is slightly closer to the crown so is SCBC 3866B.
The Obverse shows a portrait of Queen Victoria's jubilee head designed by Sir Joseph Edgar Boehm. Initials JEB are at base of truncation.
The Reverse shows Pistrucci's St George and the Dragon. 1889 Sovereigns were also minted in Melbourne and Sydney.
