The Royal Mint have released the 2020 50 Pence Coin – Peter Rabbit 50p
The Royal Mint states that this is the last time Peter Rabbit will be on a 50p coin. Also, it’s the only Beatrix Potter coin that will be seen in 2020 and it won’t be in circulation.
The Peter Rabbit 50p Reverse, by Emma Noble, shows Beatrix Potter’s Peter Rabbit climbing under a fence, probably on the lookout for lettuce!
The Obverse shows a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark.
The coin will not be in circulation, but can be obtained in BU, colourised Silver Proof (limit 14,500), and Gold Proof (limit 500).
