Austria - The Gold Philharmonic

The Gold Vienna Philharmonic (or simply Gold Philharmonic) was launched in 1989 as a 2,000 Austrian schillings coin, but after Austria joined the Euro in 2002 it was re-denominated as 100 Euros. It is intended as a bullion coin and is generally minted on demand.

The Obverse, also by Thomas Pesendorfer, shows the Musikverein Pipe Organ.

Philharmonics are available in gold, silver and platinum. There are a range of weights.
