The Obverse shows the bare head of Emperor Augustus facing left. Legend "[CAES]AR AVGVST . PONT MAX [TRIBVNIC POT]".
The Reverse shows "SC" in the centre of the legend "P. LVRIVS . AGRI[PA IIIVIR . A.A].A.F.F.". SC means senatus consultum, or 'by decree of the Senate' so the coin was an official issue. Image credit: Museums Victoria
