The 2025 Mary Poppins 50p Silver ProofThe Mary Poppins 50p is the Royal Mint's way of paying homage to one of the best loved children's characters. This is the Silver Proof version with a Limited Edition of 5000.
Mary Poppins was created by Australian-British writer P. L. Travers (Pamela Lyndon Travers (1899-1996)). Mary Poppins appeared in a series of eight books between 1934 and 1988, with all the books illustrated by Mary Shepard.
The 2025 Mary Poppins 50p is available as BU, BU Colour, Silver Proof and Gold Proof.
The Reverse, by Emma Noble based on the original work of Mary Shepard, shows Mary Poppins using an umbrella to fly over the houses. Text shows "Mary Poppins".
The edge is plain.
