The 2025 Gold Sovereign St George ProofThis 2025 Gold Sovereign Proof features Benedetto Pistrucci's iconic portrayal of St George and the Dragon. Limited Edition mintage is low at 2,025.
Three sovereigns will appear in 2025: this St George and the Dragon Proof, Jean Baptiste Merlen's 2025 Shield Proof and the 2025 Bullion Gold Sovereign. It will be the final year that the Royal Mint produces the sovereign in rose gold, opting to move future production away from the red-hued metal to the more traditional yellow gold.
The Reverse shows the famous design of St George & the Dragon by Benedetto Pistrucci.
