The 2024 City Views Paris 1oz Silver Proof £2 - Charles IIIThe City View Collection from the Royal Mint continues with the cityscape image of Paris, the iconic capital of France. The series started with Queen Elizabeth II but this coin is the first with King Charles III.
The Reverse shows a view of Paris with the famous Eiffel Tower in the background of building that show the essence of the city's historic architecture. The image was adapted from a wood engraving and lithograph from 1900.
The City Views Paris design is used on 1oz, 2oz and 5oz silver coins, and on 1oz, 2oz and 5oz gold coins. All are issued in Limited Editions.
Edge is milled.
The Obverse shows a portrait of King Charles III by Martin Jennings. Artists initials 'MJ' just below neck.Coin shown is the 1oz 0.999 silver proof, denominated as £2.
