The 2024 Bond Films of the 2000s - 1oz Silver Proof £2 - Six Decades of 007 - Charles IIIThe fifth coin in the 007 collection from the Royal Mint called "Six Decades of 007" is "Bond Films of the 2000s". This is the One Ounce Silver Proof (£2) coin showing the hovercraft from "Die Another Day".
The 2000's gave us three Bond movies: Die Another Day (2002, Pierce Brosnan), Casino Royale (2006, Daniel Craig) and Quantum Of Solace (2008, Daniel Craig).
The Six Decades of 007 collection is a series of seven coins, each celebrating a decade of James Bond 007 film. The coins are released as BU, silver, gold, denominated as £2, £5 and higher, plus bullion coins for investors. Coins released in 2023 and 2024.
The Reverse, by Matt Dent and Christian Davies, shows the hovercraft from "Die Another Day", set on a background of micro text of the names of the 2000s Bond films. Below is the original 007 logo. The image sits inside a wide border that represent the rifling of a gun barrel.
The edge is milled.
The Obverse shows a bare head portrait of King Charles III by Martin Jennings.Limited Edition mintage is 4000 coins.
