The Shengxiào Collection, named after the Chinese zodiac, was introduced by the Royal Mint in 2014. Each year a Lunar animal of the Chinese zodiac representing that year is shown. 2024 is the Year of the Dragon which starts on February 10th, 2024 (Chinese New Year) and ends on January 28th, 2025
The 1oz gold proof coin (denominated as £100) contains 31.21g of 999.9 Gold, has a diameter 32.69mm and a proof finish. Limited Edition is 888, with a maximum mintage of 898.
