The 2023 Two Pounds Music Legends - The PoliceAs part of the Royal Mint's Music Legends collection, the coin celebrates The Police. The rock band was formed back in 1977 and consisted of Sting, Andy Summers and Stewart Copeland. They became famous with songs like Every Breath You Take, Roxanne, Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic, Message In A Bottle, Don't Stand So Close To Me, Walking On The Moon, and many others.
The Police coin is released as Unc (standard and colourised), Silver Proof (1oz, 2oz, 5oz) and in several weights of Gold.
The Reverse, by Heena Glover, shows The Police performing on stage.
The Edge is inscribes "EVERY BREATH YOU TAKE".
