The 2022 Two Pound Coin - Music Legends: Rolling Stones (1oz Silver Proof)The Royal Mint Music Legends series celebrates The Rolling Stones, one of the most famous bands in history with sales of over 200 million records. Formed in London in 1962 and still performing. the original line-up was Mick Jagger, Brian Jones, Keith Richards, Bill Wyman, and drummer Charlie Watts.
The Rolling Stones Music Legends collection has the 1oz Silver Proof colourised £2; a £5 coin in colour and as BU; Silver proof 2oz and 5oz; and gold coins in 1/4oz, 1oz, 2oz and 5oz. Most as Limited Editions. These coins are available (subject to stock) from the Royal Mint Shop.
The Reverse, by Hannah Phizacklea, shows a silhouette of the Rolling Stones playing a live gig with their name in the iconic Stones font with the dates "'62'22".
