The 2022 Gold Proof 50p Coin - Harry PotterHarry Potter is 25 years old and the Royal Mint has created a collection of coins to commemorate this. The first coin is Harry Potter himself. This coin is the Gold 50p piece, with 15.5g of 916.67 Fine Gold. Diameter 27.3mm.
The series are a collection of 50p coins (BU and colourised variants) and various silver and gold weights. The release schedule is that Harry Potter is released October 2022, Hogwarts Express 2022, Dumbledore 2023, and Hogwarts 2023. The 2022 coins feature Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse, and the 2023 will have King Charles III.

The Reverse is an image of Harry Potter by Jim Kay and Ffion Gwillim. The text says "HARRY POTTER". On the right is Microtext, "25 YEARS OF MAGIC" and to the left a Latent Feature which displays 25 or a lightening bolt when viewed at the correct angle.
The Obverse shows a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark.Limited Edition mint is 300, with maximum mintage of 310.
