The 2022 Gold Proof 50 Pence - The Snowman and the SnowdogThe Royal Mint has continued its tradition of Christmas coins with the 2022 version of the Snowman, this time with the Snowdog.
The 50p coins are minted as BU, colourised BU (Limited Edition mintage 8,500), Silver Proof (Colour, LE 5,000) and Gold Proof (LE 125).
The reverse, by illustrator and animator Robin Shaw, shows Snowman holding Snowdog against a wintery background of snow and trees.
