The 2021 Morgan Silver Dollar - CC Privy MarkTo mark the 100th anniversary of the last year of the Morgan Dollar, the US Mint has reissued the coin as .999 fine silver (0.858 troy ounce) and uses the original design of George T Morgan.
All coins are made in Philadelphia (no mint mark) but the coin does have a 'CC' Privy Mark on the reverse. The 'CC' is embossed when compared to the original Carson City mint marked coins.
The finish is UNC. Diameter 1.5 inches (38.1mm) and weighs 0.858 troy oz. 99.9% silver.
The Obverse shows an image of Liberty, designed by George T Morgan. His initial 'M' is found on the truncation of the neck. The coin is named after the designer who at the time was United States Mint Assistant Engraver.
The edge is reeded (milled).
The Reverse shows an eagle holding arrows and an olive branch, also designed by George T Morgan.The US Mint has minted the 2021 Morgan Dollar with Privy marks of CC (Carson City), S (San Francisco), D (Denver) and O (New Orleans), plus one with no Privy Mark for Phiadelphia.
