The 2020 Gold Proof Two Pound Coin Captain CookThe last of the three coins commemorating the legacy of Captain James Cook, one of Britain's most famous explorers. The 3-coin set (with 2018, 2019) fit together to create a map of Cook's great voyages.
This is the gold proof coin with Inner coin as 22 carat yellow gold and Outer ring as 22 carat red gold. The coin has been minted in silver and standard Cupro-nickel/Nickel-brass as well.

Edge has an Inscription: "OCEANI INVESTIGATOR ACERRIMVS" meaning "The most intrepid investigator of the seas".
