The 2020 David Bowie 1oz Gold Proof The third coin in the Royal Mint's Music Legends series was rock star David Bowie. Bowie was born in Brixton, London on 8 January 1947 and sold over 100 million records worldwide since 1962. He was known as a singer, songwriter and actor. He died in 2016.

This one-ounce coin is 999.9 fine gold with a diameter of 32.69mm and weight of 31.21g.
The coin is available as Cupro-Nickel BU (enclosed in four separate packages), and as limited editions half-ounce silver proof, one-ounce colourised silver proof, 1/10th oz gold, one-ounce gold proof, two-ounce gold proof and five-ounce gold proof.
The Obverse shows a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark.The mintage was limited to 400 coins.
