The 2018 Half-Sovereign Proof - 65th Anniversary Mint MarkA special mint mark was added to the reverse of the 2018 Gold Sovereign Proof to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. The mint mark is a small crown containing the numbers '65' and is located on the left of the date.
Benedetto Pistrucci's famous portrayal of St. George slaying the dragon is also depicted. His initials 'B.P' are located on the right of the date.
Queen Elizabeth II's fifth portrait can be seen on the obverse, designed by Jody ClarkThe coin was originally housed in a Royal Mint acrylic screw top capsule, presented in its Royal Mint black wooden case, accompanied with an individually numbered certificate of authenticity.
The limited edition issue was 2,500 items, plus coin includede in sets.
