The 2012 First Spouse $10 Gold: 1886–1889 Frances Cleveland (1st Term)Frances Cleveland was the wife of the 22nd and 24th President Grover Cleveland. President Cleveland and his First Lady are the only ones to have left the Whitehouse and then returned some years later. Frances was the youngest ever First Lady, being only 21 years old when Grover became President for the first time.
Born Frances Clara Folsom on 21 July 1864 in Buffalo, New York. She married Grover in 1886 until his death in 1908, and in 1913 married Thomas Preston.
Obverse sculptor was Don Everhart, designed by Joel Iskowitz.
Reverse sculptor was Michael Gaudioso, designed by Barbara Fox.
