The 2012 First Spouse $10 Gold: 1881—1885 Alice Paul, Suffrage MovementAs President Chester Arthur's wife had died before he took office, the terms of the First Spouse $10 Gold series allows the use of other images and in this case they have used Alice Paul. Alice was a leading strategist in the suffrage movement and campaigned for Women to receive the right to vote.
