The 2008 American Silver EagleOne-Troy ounce 99.9% silver coin.
Bullion Silver Eagle coins are minted at West Point but do not have mintmarks. The Proof version is also minted at West Point and does have a 'W' mint mark.
In addition to the above, there were 533,757 burnished (matt-like) uncirculated coins minted and 47,000 that carried the reverse of the 2007 dies, were the U in UNITED is a plain U where later it had a small serif. Both minted at West Point.
The Obverse design is based on the Walking Liberty Half-Dollar (1916-1947) by Adolph A. Weinman.
Edge is milled.
