The 1977 Crown - Silver JubileeIssued to commemorate Elizabeth II's 25 years on the throne.
This was the second of the decimal crowns and was denominated as 25 pence when released. Previously, crowns were five shillings but in 1990 were redenominated to five pounds.
Obverse and Reverse was designed by Arnold Machin.
There are three variants: A silver proof, CuproNickel proof (in the 1977 year set) and a standard CuproNickel crown (issued in presentation folder).
The Reverse shows the Ampulla with the Annointing spoon under a Royal Crown, and a floral border.Mintage figure for the Silver Proof FDC coin is 377,000.
