The 1860 Farthing - Victoria (Bronze)Queen Victoria Bronze Farthing, dated 1860. Second Young head ('Bun' head). Diameter 20mm, weight 2.81g. SCBC 3958. The coin can have a toothed border or beaded border, but rare mule coins exist with both. Another variant has 5 berries instead of 4. SCBC: 3958.
Note: In 1860 the last of the larger Copper farthings were minted and have the date on the obverse. These coins are rare and much more expensive.
The Reverse, by Leonard Charles Wyon, shows Britannia seated facing right on a rock wearing a helmet, holding a trident and Union flag shield. In the background is a lighthouse and ship. Toothed border.
