The 1836 Half-Crown - William IVWilliam IV Silver Half-Crown (on coin as Gulielmus IIII). No circulation crowns were issued in the reign of William IV (although there were some very rare proof versions) so the half-crown was the biggest denomination in general circulation. SCBC 3834.
1836 did see some overdating of 6 over 5, giving a slightly more expensive coin. The 1836 proof is rare and far more expensive.
The Obverse is a portrait of King William IV by William Wyon (initials 'WW' on truncation of neck).
The Reverse is a beautiful image of a Shield on Mantle.Image Credit: The Royal Mint.
