The Obverse shows the bare head of Emperor Augustus facing right. Legend is "AVGVSTVS TR POT". TR POT is an abbreviation for Tribune of the People (who were known as plebs).
The Reverse shows an Apex flaminis (a cap worn by some Roman priests) between two ancilia (the ancilia were twelve sacred shields kept in the Temple of Mars). "P STOLO" (the moneyer) above, with "III VIR" below. III VIR is a title given to the three men (Triumvir) who are the current mint magistrates of the Roman Republic.This coin graded as EF.
