The 1745 Shilling - George II LIMASilver shilling from the reign of King George II. Below the bust is 'LIMA'. This indicates the metal came from captured Spanish ships off the coast of the Peruvian city of Lima. The price is only slightly increased by the coin having LIMA on it. SCBC 3703.
The coins can be found with or without LIMA and in the none-LIMA coins there are some 5 over 3 overstrikes.
The Reverse shows crowned cruciform shields, Garter star at centre, Legend around with date at top.The Obverse shows a portrait of King George II.
