The 1679 Guinea - Charles IIThe 1679 Guinea Reverse shows crowned cruciform coats-of-arms with sceptres in the quarters and a design of four interlocked monograms in the centre.
There are variants that have an small elephant below the King's bust which indicates that the gold came from the Africa Company. These are priced only slightly above the ones without the elephant logo.
The Obverse shows the fourth bust of King Charles II. Legend is written as CAROLVS II.
