The Obverse shows the crowned bust of the King facing, surrounded by a tressure of nine arches. Mullet on right breast. Legend is "+ HENRIC DEI GRA REX ANGLIE Z FRANC".
The edge is plain.
The Reverse shows a long cross pattee dividing. In each angle there are three pellets. Around in two concentric circles is the legend "+ POSVI DEVM ADIVTORE MEVM - CIVITAS LONDON" meaning "I have made God my helper - City of London"Image credit: Museums Victoria
